Addiction & Recovery Counseling in Mesa, Arizona
Recovery Is Possible. Support Makes the Difference.

Addiction Doesn't Just Happen to One Person

Whether it's alcohol, substances, or a behavior that's taken over, addiction slowly narrows a life — and it rarely stays contained to one person. Partners live with the broken promises and the discoveries. Families walk on eggshells. Trust erodes long before anyone names the problem out loud.

Maybe you're the one struggling, and you're tired of the cycle. Maybe you're in recovery and working to stay there. Or maybe you love someone with an addiction, and you're carrying the fear, anger, and exhaustion that come with it.

Wherever you stand in that picture, counseling can help — and you don't have to wait for anyone else to be ready.

How We Support Recovery

Counseling works alongside recovery — whether you're in a 12-step program, outpatient treatment, or finding your own path. Our counselors help with the parts a program alone can't reach: the underlying pain that fuels the cycle, relapse-prevention skills, rebuilding self-respect, and repairing the relationships addiction has strained.

Because addiction so often grows from trauma, our team's trauma training matters here. Using approaches like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR, we work on the roots — not just the habit.

And for partners and families, we offer support of your own: processing betrayal and broken trust, setting boundaries that hold, and taking care of yourself whether your loved one is in recovery or not.

What to Expect

Your first appointment is simply a conversation. Your counselor will listen to what's been happening, what you've tried, and what you want to feel different.

Together you'll set goals and build a plan — practical skills you can use right away, alongside deeper work at your pace. Most clients start weekly, and many begin feeling some relief within the first several sessions.

Counseling is private pay. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
